Welcome to SASP - OSU Chapter!
Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) - OSU Chapter is a student organization that is a local chapter of a national parent organization under the American Psychological Association (APA), Division 16. SASP-OSU Chapter also recognizes allegiance with the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Additionally, we encourage membership in Ohio School Psychologists Association (OSPA) and School Psychologists of Central Ohio (SPCO).
SASP’s purpose is to foster professional growth and leadership in the students at OSU by providing opportunities to mentor fellow students and voice issues and concerns that affect the program’s student body in an organized manner. SASP also provides a means to maintain a connection with the rest of the university and to develop and maintain networking contacts in the field of school psychology.
Every student in this organization is automatically a member of the national SASP organization and there are no additional dues. Each student’s level of involvement in SASP is at their own discretion; however SASP strongly encourages student involvement in various activities throughout the year, including fundraising, attending social events, and volunteering for community services.
